Adapting the culture (trying)

The first week is soon over, and we are pretty sure there is nowhere in Fayetteville we have not yet seen. We have been to two different rivers to swim, which in this burning heat was amazing! Let's just say the first river was a little different from the Norwegian rivers, and that the second one was closer, just a lot warmer. On our list of Real American Experiences we can now add ice cream. Ordering one each of the smallest one possible was a bad idea... We soon discovered that what they so nicely have called small is like XXL in Norway/Denmark. We can also add yard sailing and farmers market to the list. Yard sailing is where people who wants to get rid of some of their not used stuff, put it outside their house really early in the morning, and those who wants stuff wake up at six and dive around in the city looking for signs where it says yard sale hoping they find a treasure. It is a lot of fun for those of us who like second hand! Today we went to church and tomorrow we are planning on bringing some kayaks to a lake close. We are doing good! Thank you, Ray.
